I spent years helping people survive the worst days of their lives. I never imagined one day I'd have to save my own.
For nearly two decades, I served in law enforcement. I laughed with people on their best days and stood beside them on their worst. Every call told a story. Some made me smile. Some broke my heart. A few never left me.
